Why Gen Z Is Changing the Pro-Life Landscape

Why Gen Z Is Changing the Pro-Life Landscape

A new generation is walking through our doors at Branches, and they are unlike any generation we’ve served before. Gen Z grew up with a smartphone in hand, unlimited information at their fingertips, and a world that moves fast. They are tech-savvy, socially aware, and independent thinkers who expect honesty, clarity, and empowerment.

Vitae Research says it simply:

Gen Z women want to be empowered.

Gen Z men need encouragement.

Gen Z Is Here… And the Fight for Life Has Shifted

We see this every day.  But this shift means something important for us: The fight for life has changed and we must change with it.

Why Gen Z Is More Abortion-Vulnerable Than Any Previous Generation

For many Gen Z women, the abortion pill is presented as the first and easiest solution to an unplanned pregnancy. A quick online appointment. No in-person exam, just a video call with a doctor they’ll never see again…no follow up. Medication is shipped straight to their door. They are told it’s “safe, simple, and private.”

Some are even given casual instructions like:
“Take it on a Friday night, you’ll be fine by Monday.”

But the reality is much different.

11% of abortion-pill cases result in serious adverse effects requiring treatment in the ER or hospital.

And for those who don’t seek medical help, emotional fallout often hits later—alone, afraid, and unprepared.

This is the world our Gen Z clients are navigating, and this is where Branches steps in.

How Branches Is Evolving to Reach and Support Gen Z Clients

We’ve spent the last year building a new digital strategy and website designed to meet Gen Z where they live, online. They are looking for quick answers, relatable content, real stories, and immediate ways to connect.

And one of the most powerful tools we now have?

Our new 3D/4D ultrasound machine.

These images are stunningly clear and often life-changing. We’ve seen young parents connect with their baby in seconds. A heartbeat seen is a heartbeat protected.

Our vision for 2026 includes adding a portable system in Augusta so we can bring live ultrasound demonstrations into schools and other remote locations. Imagine what it could mean for teens to see the reality of life long before facing their own pregnancy decisions.

Preparing for What Comes Next: Post-Abortion Care for a Hurting Generation

As chemical abortions rise, we are preparing for a second wave: the emotional, mental, and spiritual pain that often follows.

Many of our clients already carry complex trauma. Add an abortion experience, and the shame and confusion that often follow, and the weight becomes even heavier.

In 2026, Branches will launch new Abortion Recovery and Pregnancy Loss programs tailored specifically for Gen Z. These programs help:

  • Heal emotional trauma
  • Build resilience
  • Restore hope
  • Prevent future regrets
  • Break generational cycles of pain

Because healing matters, for the parent, for the baby, and for the future family they will one day lead.

We Are Fighting a New Fight, And We Need You With Us!

Gen Z needs truth, compassion, clarity, and encouragement. They need to be reached quickly and cared for deeply. And that’s exactly what your support makes possible. Your generosity allows us to:

  • Reach more abortion-vulnerable clients
  • Provide life-affirming medical care
  • Offer practical support and parenting resources
  • Share Christ’s love and hope
  • Bring healing to those suffering after an abortion

In 2026, as more young women are funneled toward the abortion pill, our work will grow more urgent and more necessary.

Together, we can Reach More and Help More.

Together, we can fight for the next generation, and win!
